As a school-based Audiologist on a contract assignment, youll have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families to support auditory health and ensure every child can access the educational resources they need.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Audiologist
  • Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
  • Proficiency with diagnostic audiological assessments, hearing aid fittings, and assistive listening technologies
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students across various age groups
  • Analyze assessment results and provide recommendations for interventions or devices to improve student access to instruction
  • Fit and program hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive listening devices as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and special education teams
  • Document all evaluations and recommendations in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide educational resources and training to staff and students regarding hearing health and device maintenance
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
