Qualifications:
- Valid state audiology license and ASHA CCC-A certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working with children or in school-based settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of current audiological assessment and intervention techniques
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to organize schedules and efficiently manage multiple caseloads
- Comfortable using technology and documentation systems for compliance and reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and audiological evaluations for students
- Interpret test results and develop individualized recommendations and management plans
- Collaborate with IEP teams to support students educational accommodations and service plans
- Provide direct intervention services, as needed, within school environments
- Counsel students, parents, and staff regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, and classroom modifications
- Maintain thorough documentation under district and state requirements
- Offer training or consultation to educators on hearing-related topics and amplification devices
