Job Description

Bring your expertise in audiology to an educational setting and provide essential hearing support to students. As a contract audiologist in a school environment, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing students' learning experiences by identifying and addressing hearing-related needs. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within schools
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Comfortable implementing hearing screenings, assessments, and assistive technologies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and manage diagnostic hearing assessments for students across various grade levels
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide recommendations for accommodations, assistive listening devices, or hearing aids as needed
  • Consult with educators, speech-language pathologists, and other school professionals to support student access to curriculum
  • Ensure all records and documentation comply with state and federal guidelines
  • Educate students, teachers, and families on hearing loss and effective classroom strategies
