Key Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Audiologist
- Experience or strong interest in a school or pediatric setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to administer and interpret a full range of audiological assessments
- Aptitude for working collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for students across various age groups
- Interpret audiological results and provide recommendations for accommodations or interventions
- Fit, monitor, and troubleshoot hearing aids and other auditory devices
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on auditory health and educational impacts
- Develop individualized service and intervention plans based on assessment outcomes
- Offer on-site or virtual consultation for staff and families about hearing health and classroom strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards in educational settings
