Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in school settings or pediatric environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Up-to-date on audiological assessments and best practices in educational audiology
- Comfortable with individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation requirements
- Adaptable and organized, with exceptional problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Recommend, fit, and monitor amplification devices or hearing aids as needed
- Provide auditory training, counseling, and support to students and their support networks
- Participate in meetings, evaluations, and educational workshops
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support student progress and compliance
