Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid and current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an audiologist
  • Experience working in educational settings with children and adolescents
  • Strong knowledge of hearing assessments and fitting of amplification devices (hearing aids, FM/DM systems)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to develop and implement hearing conservation programs and provide staff training
  • Familiarity with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for students to identify hearing issues and recommend interventions
  • Fit, program, and manage hearing aids and school-based auditory equipment
  • Collaborate with educators to implement accommodations and strategies that support student access to the curriculum
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and assist in the development of IEP/auditory management plans
  • Provide training and resources to staff and family members regarding hearing loss, equipment use, and classroom acoustics
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in accordance with school and district guidelines
