Job Description

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Active state audiology license or eligibility to obtain one (ASHA CCC-A preferred)
  • Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to conduct hearing screenings, diagnostic assessments, and recommend amplification or assistive technology
  • Experience in developing and contributing to IEPs/504 plans beneficial
  • Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and other educational laws relating to hearing services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings for students
  • Interpret results and provide reports tailored for educational settings
  • Recommend and implement auditory management strategies and assistive devices in classrooms
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families on student progress and needs
  • Deliver training for teachers and support staff on hearing health and device care
  • Provide direct and consultative services per students IEP/504 requirements
