Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
  • Experience in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of hearing screening procedures, FM systems, and assistive technology
  • Ability to interpret and explain audiometric data for IEP teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough hearing assessments and screenings for students, including evaluations for those with suspected hearing impairments
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and technology to support access to curriculum
  • Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to develop and implement individualized student plans
  • Offer training and support to school staff on hearing health, use of amplification devices, and classroom strategies
  • Maintain detailed and confidential student records, documenting assessments, recommendations, and progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight into student needs and advocating for appropriate services
