Job Description

Empower students to reach their full potential by supporting their hearing health in a dynamic K-12 educational setting near Kansas City, KS. As a contract Audiologist, youll collaborate with educators and families to provide crucial audiology services that ensure every learner can participate fully in the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Proficient in conducting comprehensive hearing assessments and fitting assistive listening devices
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop intervention goals and participate in IEP meetings
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations for students of all ages
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to recommend accommodations and strategies that promote student success
  • Fit and monitor assistive listening devices, such as hearing aids and FM systems
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Provide staff development on hearing loss and its educational impact
  • Serve as a resource during IEP meetings and contribute to individualized student plans
  • Travel between school sites as required
