As a contract professional, you'll assess and manage the auditory needs of children, collaborating with educators and families to help students reach their full academic potential. Desired Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Prior experience in educational or pediatric audiology is highly valued
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel between school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations
- Provide direct intervention services and recommend assistive technology as appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary IEP/504 teams to develop and implement accommodations
- Educate school personnel and families about hearing loss and effective strategies for classroom success
- Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines
- Offer in-service training for staff to promote hearing health and awareness
- Consult on classroom acoustics and environmental modifications
