Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current, valid state license or certification in Audiology (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations
  • Strong knowledge of screening, diagnostic, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Ability to recommend appropriate hearing technology and classroom accommodations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and school staff
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough hearing assessments and interpret audiological data for students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention or management plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to facilitate optimal learning environments
  • Provide counseling and recommendations to students, families, and staff regarding hearing loss and use of assistive devices
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and documentation as required by school policies
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based audiological services
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and services provided
