Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • State licensure to practice as an Audiologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in schools, is advantageous
  • Proficiency in conducting hearing screenings, diagnostic assessments, and fitting assistive devices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and consultation
  • Ability to provide recommendations for educational accommodations and classroom modifications

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized management plans for students with hearing loss
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and counselors to optimize the learning environment
  • Educate students, families, and faculty about hearing health and maintenance of hearing equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with federal and state educational requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
