Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- State licensure to practice as an Audiologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in schools, is advantageous
- Proficiency in conducting hearing screenings, diagnostic assessments, and fitting assistive devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and consultation
- Ability to provide recommendations for educational accommodations and classroom modifications
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized management plans for students with hearing loss
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and counselors to optimize the learning environment
- Educate students, families, and faculty about hearing health and maintenance of hearing equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with federal and state educational requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
