Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligible to obtain)
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based audiology strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in using and maintaining audiometric equipment
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive educational opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations for students as referred
  • Interpret diagnostic results and provide recommendations to educational teams and families
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to develop and implement hearing intervention strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute audiology expertise to individualized planning
  • Guide and educate staff and families on hearing loss, amplification devices, and classroom strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Serve as a resource for hearing health awareness across school communities
