Job Description

An on-call Audiologist position is available to support Special Education teams by providing expert consultation and review of audiology services. This contract role is primarily virtual with occasional collaboration required to ensure students hearing and communication needs are met effectively.

Location: Remote virtual support with preference for candidates near Shiprock, NM
Schedule: Per Diem / On-Call, minimal hours, as-needed support
Contract Duration: ASAP through May 29, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review audiology reports for Special Education (SPED) teams
  • Assist in developing audiology-related Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals when appropriate
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to address student hearing and communication challenges
  • Provide consultation and guidance to support educational programming

Qualifications:

  • Valid professional and educator credentials as an Audiologist required
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Navajo (Din) strongly preferred, enhancing communication with students and families
  • Ability to work independently and provide timely, accurate evaluations and recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with SPED teams to integrate audiological findings into educational plans
