Job Description

As the school audiologist, your expertise will support students ability to learn and thrive in the classroom. Your knowledge and compassionate communication will empower students, teachers, and families with vital information and resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state audiologist license and all required certifications
  • Prior experience in school-based settings or pediatric audiology, preferred
  • Skilled in conducting hearing assessments and interpreting audiograms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Competence in managing hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive listening devices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students as needed
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Guide and train staff on hearing loss awareness and use of hearing technology
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Offer support and education to students and families regarding hearing health
