This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents, providing critical audiological services to help ensure every student has access to quality education.
Your background in audiology will allow you to work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, conducting assessments and supporting students unique hearing needs. Utilizing your clinical skills, you will help create strategies and accommodations that empower students to thrive.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure to practice Audiology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and assistive listening device fittings
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable collaborating with staff and families
- Strong organizational skills and a compassionate, student-centered mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations and screenings for students
- Interpret test results and prepare reports for IEP/504 Plan meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop effective accommodations
- Provide recommendations for assistive technology and classroom adaptations
- Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM/DM systems
- Offer in-services and training to school staff on hearing health and devices
