Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an audiologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide assessment, diagnosis, and management recommendations for students with hearing impairments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and audiological evaluations for students
- Interpret results, prepare reports, and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams
- Recommend, fit, and manage hearing amplification devices and assistive technology
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside providers to develop strategies and accommodations for students
- Provide in-service training and resources to school staff regarding hearing loss and classroom adaptations
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing consultation as needed
