Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Audiologist
- ASHA CCC-A certification highly desirable
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of current audiological assessment tools and intervention techniques
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with students, educators, and families
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and timelines effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students
- Interpret evaluation results and make recommendations for accommodations and supports
- Fit and manage hearing assistive technology, including hearing aids and FM/DM systems
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss
- Collaborate with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans
- Deliver training and support to staff on hearing loss awareness and assistive devices
- Maintain precise, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
