Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Audiologist
  • ASHA CCC-A certification highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of current audiological assessment tools and intervention techniques
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with students, educators, and families
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and timelines effectively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students
  • Interpret evaluation results and make recommendations for accommodations and supports
  • Fit and manage hearing assistive technology, including hearing aids and FM/DM systems
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss
  • Collaborate with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans
  • Deliver training and support to staff on hearing loss awareness and assistive devices
  • Maintain precise, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
