Make a direct impact in schools by providing vital audiological services to K-12 students on a flexible contract basis. Based in a central office equipped with a dedicated testing booth, you'll play a crucial role in supporting a district-wide caseload for a maternity leave assignment. Your expertise will help ensure every student has the resources they need to access learning and thrive academically.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Current TX audiologist professional license required
• Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred
• Strong grasp of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) assessment and special education evaluations
• Familiarity with Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT), including FM systems
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with DHH teachers and campus staff

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct K-12 special education evaluations, including reviewing medical records and performing hearing assessments in the on-site audiology booth
• Provide recommendations for the purchase and utilization of HAT and other assistive devices for students
• Collaborate with DHH teachers and campus teams to offer training and support in the use of hearing technology
• Maintain thorough documentation and professional standards in compliance with state guidelines

This contract runs from 2/1/27 to 5/26/27 and offers a flexible 10-20 hour weekly schedule. Choose to work one full day and a flexible partial day, or split your hours into two designated half days per week, with the opportunity to increase your hours if needed.
