Make a meaningful impact supporting students' success by utilizing your expertise as an Audiologist in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity near Cullman offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families, ensuring each child receives the services they need to thrive academically and socially.
In this role, youll conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, implement intervention strategies, and make recommendations tailored to individual students. Youll have the opportunity to provide direct support, offer teacher training, and assist with the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited university
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Experience providing audiological services within school settings is strongly desired
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough hearing assessments for students and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding students needs and progress
- Recommend and facilitate assistive listening devices or classroom accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Offer consultation and professional development related to hearing health and classroom strategies
- Support follow-up services and ongoing progress monitoring
