Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility as an Audiologist
  • Certification from ASHA (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric audiology is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as teachers, speech-language pathologists, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students, including screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
  • Interpret test results and develop educational recommendations and hearing intervention plans
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of classroom amplification systems, hearing aids, and assistive listening devices
  • Consult regularly with educators and families regarding student progress and technology usage
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with individualized education plans (IEPs) and federal/state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings as an integral advocate for student hearing needs
  • Offer training and resources to staff and families to support auditory access in the classroom
