Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Audiologist supporting a vibrant group of students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Based primarily at Mission Academy with occasional travel to other district campuses, youll collaborate closely with school staff to provide essential audiological services. Your expertise will enhance students educational experiences across a dynamic school district.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Audiology
- At least 5 years of experience in a school setting or equivalent
- Current ASHA certification (waiver available for ASHA-certified professionals)
- State licensure to practice audiology and fit/repair hearing aids
- Successful completion of the required state exam
- Able to complete fingerprinting and background check as per district requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive audiological assessments and services to students across several campuses, focused mainly at Mission Academy
- Collaborate with itinerant teachers and staff to organize and conduct scheduled troubleshooting for districtwide students
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, with a rotating weekly schedule for direct services
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in student evaluation meetings
- Maintain accurate records, report findings, and recommend modifications to help students succeed
- Provide consultation and support to school staff and families regarding hearing health management
