Job Description

A professional contract position is available for an experienced audiologist in the San Antonio, TX area, primarily serving school-aged children. This opportunity requires on-site work, approximately 15 hours per week, spread over two dayspreferred days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. The primary location will be Mission Academy, with additional districtwide support provided in coordination with itinerant teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide audiology services in school settings, including hearing assessments, fitting and repairing hearing aids, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students with hearing impairments.
  • Manage caseload efficiently to ensure timely and effective student care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Audiology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in school settings or equivalent.
  • ASHA certification (a waiver is available for ASHA-certified individuals).
  • Valid state license to practice audiology, fit and repair hearing aids.
  • Successful completion of required exams.
  • Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting.

This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with children across the district. The caseload and exact school assignments will be determined based on district needs.

Location: San Antonio, TX area
Contract Duration: ASAP through 5/29/2026
Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week, 2 days per week
