Job Description

A contract position is available for an experienced Audiologist to provide specialized services within a school setting. This role involves supporting students primarily at one campus with additional districtwide troubleshooting coordinated alongside itinerant teachers. The position offers approximately 15 hours per week, spread across two daysideally Wednesdays and Thursdaysin the San Antonio, TX area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audiological evaluations and assessments for school-aged children.
  • Fit, repair, and maintain hearing aids in compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for students across multiple schools in the district.
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with all school and state guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Audiology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in school settings or equivalent.
  • ASHA certification.
  • State license to practice audiology.
  • State license to fit and repair hearing aids.
  • Successful passage of relevant licensing exams.
  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances including fingerprinting and background check.
  • A waiver may be granted to those holding ASHA certification.

This part-time role emphasizes hands-on audiological expertise integrated within the educational environment, with a focus on enhancing student access to hearing resources and support.
