This position allows you to utilize your audiology expertise in a collaborative, student-centered atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as an Audiologist in California
- ASHA Certification (CCC-A) preferred
- Previous experience serving school-aged children is highly desirable
- Knowledge of educational assessments, intervention strategies, and assistive technology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt and tailor services to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students, including screenings and evaluations
- Interpret test results and provide detailed reports for educational teams
- Develop and deliver recommendations and accommodations for students with hearing loss
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Fit, manage, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Educate staff and students on hearing conservation and assistive technologies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide in-service training as needed
