Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as an audiologist
  • Background or interest in working with pediatric clients and school-based populations
  • Knowledge of auditory processing disorders, hearing aid management, and assistive listening devices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable conducting assessments, interpreting audiograms, and writing detailed reports
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide in-service training as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs
  • Monitor amplification devices and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Educate students, staff, and families about hearing health, hearing loss prevention, and communication strategies in the academic setting
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable privacy regulations
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and special services staff on issues affecting students access to sound in the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student accommodations
