Step into a rewarding contract role as an Educational Audiologist, providing vital support to students as they begin the 26-27 school year. This short-term opportunity centers around serving students across 13 public school districts near Cambridge, MN, working collaboratively with educators and staff to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Minnesota Audiologist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Expertise in collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school district locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and diagnostic assessments for students, interpreting results for educational planning
- Recommend and implement hearing aids, FM systems, and other amplification devices as appropriate
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to foster inclusive learning environments and auditory access
- Provide direct support to students, including troubleshooting and maintaining hearing technology
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and documentation for eligible students
- Deliver staff and parent training in hearing loss management strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely records according to state and federal guidelines
