Job Description
Step into a specialized role supporting students by providing essential audiology services in a school-based environment. This contract opportunity requires a skilled Audiologist to conduct in-person visits near Burbank, CA, offering expertise that will directly benefit students educational experiences through better hearing health.
In this role, youll deliver targeted audiological assessments and consultations two times each month, dedicating 30 minutes per visit. Your professional support will be key in collaborating with school staff and ensuring students auditory needs are met for optimal participation in their academic setting.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an Audiologist in California
- Previous experience providing services within schools strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during brief, focused appointments
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with school professionals and families
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and audiological assessments
- Consult with teachers, school staff, and parents regarding student needs and accommodations
- Document findings and recommendations according to district protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed, providing expertise for student support plans
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations governing audiological services in educational settings
