Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
- Strong knowledge of hearing assessments, amplification devices, and educational accommodations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for students and interpret results.
- Recommend and oversee the use of assistive listening devices and hearing aids as necessary.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide guidance and training for staff and families on hearing loss and classroom strategies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing audiological expertise to student teams.
- Maintain thorough documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
