Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an Audiologist
  • Experience providing audiology services to pediatric or school-aged populations
  • Familiarity with administering hearing screenings, assessments, and diagnostic testing
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide ongoing support
  • Organized and adept at maintaining thorough documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and hearing evaluations for students
  • Collaborate with school teams to interpret results and recommend strategies or interventions
  • Fit, program, and monitor hearing aids and assistive technology as needed
  • Offer direct and consultative services to address students audiological needs within the educational environment
  • Educate staff, parents, and students on hearing loss, care, and available resources
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
  • Support students in accessing their full educational potential by addressing auditory and communication challenges
