Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an Audiologist
- Experience providing audiology services to pediatric or school-aged populations
- Familiarity with administering hearing screenings, assessments, and diagnostic testing
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide ongoing support
- Organized and adept at maintaining thorough documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and hearing evaluations for students
- Collaborate with school teams to interpret results and recommend strategies or interventions
- Fit, program, and monitor hearing aids and assistive technology as needed
- Offer direct and consultative services to address students audiological needs within the educational environment
- Educate staff, parents, and students on hearing loss, care, and available resources
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Support students in accessing their full educational potential by addressing auditory and communication challenges
