Become an essential support for students as an Audiologist working on a contract basis in a vibrant educational setting near Berlin, CT. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing students learning experiences by addressing auditory challenges and facilitating access to educational resources.
What Were Looking For:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Prior experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of auditory assessments and hearing technologies
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Collaborative spirit and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) related to auditory needs
- Recommend, fit, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Offer guidance to educators, staff, and families about students auditory requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulations
- Monitor auditory progress and make program adjustments as required
- Lead in-service training and provide support to school personnel as needed
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in audiology
