Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility as an audiologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA, or working toward certification
- Prior experience providing audiology services in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage hearing and auditory processing disorders in school-aged children
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Interpret test results and provide recommendations to educational staff, families, and other stakeholders
- Recommend and help implement classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and educational modifications
- Provide counseling to students, families, and staff on hearing health, hearing aid use, and auditory skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to foster students access to curriculum
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
