Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-A preferred)
- Experience working with children or in educational settings
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, hearing aid fitting, and auditory rehabilitative processes
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, teachers, and families
- Collaborative and adaptable approach to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for students, identifying and supporting those with hearing impairments
- Recommend and manage assistive listening devices and hearing aids as needed
- Develop and implement intervention and hearing conservation programs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other support staff to promote accessible learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to help create effective student plans
- Document assessments, treatments, and services in compliance with state and school policies
