Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in educational settings by providing expert auditory services to students as a school-based audiologist in the Albany, OR area on a contract basis. Youll collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their fullest potential through optimized hearing health.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current, valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to assignment start
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based audiology is highly desirable
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized hearing intervention plans

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological assessments for students of varying ages and needs
  • Interpret test results and provide clear recommendations to support access to educational content
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and 504 plans
  • Fit and manage hearing assistive devices, including troubleshooting and training students and staff
  • Offer in-service training and guidance on classroom accommodations and best practices for hearing health
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
