Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) provider in a dynamic, district-wide setting for the 2026/2027 school year. In this rewarding part-time, onsite contract position, you'll travel between middle school campuses to deliver adaptive PE services directly to students and consult with school teams to ensure each childs unique physical education needs are met. Your expertise will empower both students and staff by fostering inclusion and promoting physical development for learners with disabilities.
Your role will include:
- Delivering high-quality adaptive physical education services to middle school students requiring specialized support.
- Traveling district-wide to meet with students and collaborate with onsite educators and support staff.
- Consulting with school teams to help design and implement individualized adaptive PE plans.
- Documenting progress and maintaining clear communication with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Managing your schedule proactively, ensuring reliable attendance and timely arrival at each location.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Active Adaptive PE certification or licensure (as applicable).
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with middle school students and those with disabilities.
- A collaborative, positive approach and strong communication skills.
- The ability to provide both direct services and program consultation.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to navigate multiple sites.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for travel within the district.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, fingerprinting, and background/CORI check.
This role offers consistent part-time hours (22.5 days/week) for the duration of the school year, offering you the opportunity to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
