Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Michigan Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Certification is required
  • Background as a Special Education Physical Education Teacher
  • Proven success in professional school environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized adaptive PE lessons for K-12 students
  • Assess students abilities and modify activities to ensure full participation and safety
  • Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, and families to create supportive plans
