Make a difference as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, working onsite to support students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade. Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Adaptive Physical Education Teacher licensure required
- Experience working with students with a diverse range of physical abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and modify physical education curriculum to meet individual needs
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and motivating learning atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver adaptive physical education lessons tailored to individual student goals
- Assess student progress and document outcomes in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Foster skill development, coordination, and physical fitness for students with varying abilities
- Adapt equipment and activities to promote participation and safety for all students
- Contribute to IEP meetings and ongoing communication within the multidisciplinary team
