Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid credential or certification as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering adaptive PE services in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with students of varied abilities
• Creative approach to instruction and classroom management
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students physical education needs and design adaptive programs tailored to individual abilities
• Implement and monitor progress of adaptive PE plans, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and family members
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records for IEP meetings
• Provide guidance and training to general education staff as needed
• Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development for all students through engaging activities
