Make an impact as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in a dynamic, supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026 through June 4, 2027, with a 184-day commitment and 35 hours per week. In this on-site, itinerant role, youll deliver engaging adaptive PE instruction to students with diverse needs, fostering inclusion and growth as you travel to multiple school locations in the area.

What experience and skills set you apart:

• Valid California teaching credential for Adapted Physical Education required
• Previous experience as an APE teacher in school settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of adaptive PE curriculum, IEP development, and progress monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt activities for varied abilities and implement creative solutions
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable in an itinerant, on-site role

What youll do:

• Deliver adaptive physical education services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Assess student abilities, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
• Plan and implement lessons promoting motor skills, fitness, and positive self-image
• Travel between assigned schools as needed to meet caseload requirements
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for all learners
