Youll be an integral part of ensuring students have access to physical education programs tailored to their individual needs while collaborating with educators committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential with Adaptive Physical Education authorization required
• Prior experience teaching APE or working with students with special needs is highly desirable
• Ability to travel between multiple school locations (itinerant schedule)
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities to manage and document progress for multiple students
• Passion for promoting physical activity and adaptive techniques

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide adaptive physical education instruction to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and modify lesson plans to accommodate a range of abilities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to enhance student success
• Travel to and serve multiple school sites within the district (on-site only)
• Maintain accurate records and reports regarding student progress
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to each students educational plan
• Foster an inclusive, positive environment where every student can thrive
