Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Adapted Physical Education or a closely related field
- Valid state teaching credential including an APE endorsement
- Prior experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with diverse physical education needs, is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, adapt, and deliver effective physical education instruction to students with varying abilities across K-12 grades
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure optimal engagement and achievement
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and families regarding best practices in adaptive physical education
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation to support student growth and compliance
