Step into a rewarding contract position providing adaptive physical education services within a supportive school environment. This onsite role, with flexible hours ranging from 15 to 30 per week, focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students in grades K-12. Youll foster an inclusive atmosphere by developing and implementing adaptive physical education programs tailored to each childs needs, working collaboratively with other educators and support staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Adapted Physical Education or a closely related field
• Current state teaching credential with an Adapted Physical Education (APE) endorsement
• Experience teaching diverse student populations in K-12 settings (preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver adaptive physical education lessons that meet individual education plans (IEPs) for students with varying abilities
• Assess students abilities and progress, adapting instruction to meet unique learning and physical needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, parents, and support staff to promote student engagement and success
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and IEP documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing training
