This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher ready to deliver engaging instruction for K-12 students. With in-person teaching hours ranging from 15 to 30 per week, you'll support students in developing motor skills, promoting fitness, and enhancing their overall well-being in a positive, inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Adapted Physical Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching credential with APE endorsement.
- Experience working with students requiring adapted physical education, preferably across K-12 classrooms.
- Ability to modify curriculum and activities for diverse abilities.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized physical education plans for students with varying abilities.
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams on student goals and inclusion.
- Maintain up-to-date records, progress reports, and required documentation.
