In this diverse role, you will serve as both an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Trainer, ensuring every studentregardless of abilityhas access to quality physical education and safe athletic participation.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Certification or licensure as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
• Experience developing and implementing individualized physical education plans for students with varying abilities
• Demonstrated background or certification as an Athletic Trainer
• Strong knowledge of injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation in a school athletics environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with students, staff, and families
• Organizational skills to manage equipment, schedules, and documentation effectively
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative school team

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging adaptive PE curriculum for students with diverse needs
• Assess student abilities, set goals, and document progress regularly
• Prevent, evaluate, and treat injuries for student-athletes during practices and competitions
• Collaborate with coaches to educate athletes on injury prevention and safe play
• Oversee rehabilitation programs, ensuring a safe return-to-play timeline
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Stay proactive during high-activity sports seasons, prioritizing the health and performance of athletes
