Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students by providing tailored physical education services district-wide. This contract opportunity involves supporting students who require Adaptive PE, delivering direct instruction, and collaborating closely with school teams across multiple sites. The role is part-time, with work spread across approximately two to two and a half days per week during the 2026/2027 school year. All services are to be performed onsite, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment for professionals passionate about inclusive education.

Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Adaptive Physical Education certification/licensure (as applicable)
  • Prior experience working in school settings, especially with middle school students with disabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to offer both direct instruction and consultative services
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Reliable transportation for travel to multiple school campuses within the district
  • Consistent punctuality for arrivals and departures; must notify appropriate contacts if unable to work due to illness
  • Ability to successfully pass drug screening, fingerprinting, and background/CORI checks

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adaptive physical education programming to middle school students across various district schools
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain clear documentation of student progress and service delivery
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed
  • Provide consultative support to faculty and assist in developing strategies that promote student engagement and success
