Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credentials for Adaptive Physical Education
- Experience or passion for working with individuals requiring adaptive instruction
- Familiarity with K-22 age group needs and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized physical education plans
- Positive, patient, and engaging classroom presence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver adaptive physical education lessons tailored to meet a range of abilities and ages
- Assess students physical abilities and work with IEP teams to develop and implement appropriate goals
- Modify activities and environments to support the success and safety of all students
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach
- Encourage student participation, fostering confidence and inclusivity in the physical education environment
