Take on a rewarding contract position supporting K-8 students with adaptive physical education needs in an onsite setting. Make a lasting impact by assessing students' motor skills, crafting individualized physical education plans, and implementing modifications for an inclusive learning environment. This full-time opportunity spans 35 hours each week from August through December, offering a chance to work closely with a single campus community.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of students gross and fine motor abilities
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized physical education goals as part of IEPs
• Modifying and adapting physical activities for students of varying abilities to ensure inclusion
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families for holistic student support
• Tracking student progress and providing regular updates to the educational team
• Ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants during physical activity

Desired qualifications:

• Adaptive Physical Education Certification valid in California
• Experience working with K-8 student populations in school-based settings
• Strong skills in collaborative teamwork and effective communication
• Ability to design engaging, creative physical education programs for diverse learners
• Knowledge of current best practices in adapted physical activity
