Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Physical Education or a related field
  • Valid Massachusetts Physical Education teaching license (Initial license)
  • Massachusetts License in Moderate or Severe Special Needs
  • Experience or coursework in adapted physical education or special education preferred
  • Passion for working with students with a wide range of abilities
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver adapted physical education curriculum for K12 students onsite
  • Develop and modify lessons according to IEP and 504 requirements
  • Assess student progress, maintain records, and provide progress reports
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Create a safe, motivating environment that encourages participation and growth
  • Engage families and caregivers in the educational process as needed
