Step into a rewarding contract assignment serving students in the Bay Area as an Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact within an itinerant modeltraveling between school sites to deliver adaptive PE services. The assignment spans August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, on a 184-day schedule with a 35-hour workweek, ensuring consistency and structure throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential required (APE authorization)
• Demonstrated experience teaching adaptive physical education in school settings
• Strong adaptability to changing environments with itinerant assignments
• Ability to design and implement individualized physical education programs for students with diverse needs
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and deliver effective adaptive PE curriculum to meet IEP goals
• Travel between designated school sites, providing instruction and support for students with disabilities
• Conduct ongoing student assessment, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
• Foster inclusive and positive learning environments for all students
