Job Description
A school district in Auburn, Washington is seeking a qualified BOCCertified Athletic Trainer for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position supports middle and high school studentathletes by providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and committed to promoting student health and safety in an educational athletics setting.
Responsibilities
Provide athletic training services for schoolsponsored athletic programs
Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries
Develop and implement injury prevention and conditioning programs
Coordinate care with physicians, school nurses, administrators, and coaches
Maintain accurate injury reports, treatment logs, and medical documentation
Assist with returntoplay decisions in accordance with best practices and district policies
Provide emergency care and manage onsite athletic emergencies
Support a safe and healthy athletic environment for students
Qualifications
Active Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer certification
Eligible for or holding Washington State Athletic Trainer licensure
Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Athletic Training or a related field
Experience
Previous experience in a school, collegiate, or athletic setting preferred
New graduates with appropriate certification are encouraged to apply
Skills
Strong clinical assessment and injury management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Commitment to student safety and wellness
Work Hours
MondayFriday
Schedule aligned with school hours and athletic events
Approximately 3740 hours per week
