Step into a meaningful role as a contract professional supporting students with unique learning needs in elementary, middle, or high school settings near Freehold, NJ. Engage daily in a dynamic educational environment, providing vital 1:1 support as a Paraprofessional or ABA Therapist. Begin as soon as possible and continue through June, working closely with a diverse team of educators and specialists. Your day will center around guiding and supporting students, reinforcing behavioral and academic programs, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom experience.
What were looking for:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Aide in a school or similar setting
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Proven ability to provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support
- Comfort and experience working with students who have autism and behavioral challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting classroom needs
- Commitment to creating a safe, encouraging environment for all students
What youll do:
- Work one-on-one with assigned students to support learning, social skills, and behavioral goals
- Implement individual education plans and behavior intervention strategies as directed by special education and ABA teams
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the educational team
- Assist with classroom management and transitions throughout the school day
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain thorough documentation as required
