Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a supportive team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year near Auburn Hills, MI. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other professionals to provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to students in school settings.
- Collect data on student progress and behavior using designated assessment tools.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote consistent implementation of behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and reinforce skills learned in therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of ABA therapy.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and adapt strategies based on student needs.
- Comfortable working in a school-based setting and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
